How to Add an Account in Lastpass Vault in Chrome


  1. In google chrome on the top right you will see a red box containing three dots







  1. Click on the icon to bring down a drop down menu. This menu has a few options:


Search: Allows to look for a specific account without opening a new lastpass tab

Open My Vault: Opens a new tab that shows all saved Last Pass accounts

Recently Used: Shows the last few accounts that have been accessed without opening a new window

All Items: Shows the different password categories and accesses accounts with changing the webpage

Add Item: Allows you to create a login for the page you are currently on

Generate Secure Password: Creates a very strong login password for an account and saves it in last pass






  1. Clicking the Open My Vault button will open a new tab and bring you to the Lastpass website. Click the red button in the bottom right to add a new account:

    


  1. You have the option to create different accounts in last pass such as credit card info, account passwords, and even private notes! Click on the lock icon to add a new account to the vault:


  1. Clicking the password icon will open up the account details menu. You have the following options:


URL: The web address put in here will open if you hit launch from your last pass account

Name: The name of the account you are saving i.e: Gmail/Adobe/OneDrive

Folder (Optional): Used to categorize specific account types: Email, Shopping, Streaming

Username: The email or account name used to login

Site Password: the Password used to log into the account, you can see the password plainly by clicking the Eye Icon.


Once you have input this information click the Save Button to add the account to your Lastpass vault.
