HP MFP M477fdw:
Duplex mode has to be manually turned on in windows 10. Right click on the printer and open printer properties; click advanced settings tab, then check enable auto duplex unit.
HP Scan program:
Auto feeder maxes out at 300ppi resolution when scanning. For clear, high quality scans use the flatbed which has a maximum ppi of 1200. This setting can be changed by clicking on the more.. Link in the top right corner above the quick settings, then clicking on the second tab.
Printer Not Printing Via Network Cable:
If you are having issues with printing via the network cable and the printer shows ready but windows says that the printer is offline, use the following steps to switch over to wireless printing to get by until a tech is able to troubleshoot printing via network cable.
Disconnect the network cable in the back of the printer.
Click on antenna box in the top right.
Then click on the middle box "network wifi off".
Then settings.
Wireless menu.
Turn wireless on/off.
Click “On”.
Hit home button.
Then turn off printer by holding power button for 10 seconds.
Wait for printer to turn completely off.
Then turn back on by pressing the power button.
